A Little World, Made Just for You
Every collage I create begins with a single piece of fabric and a little bit of possibility. Custom collages are no different, except that this time, the inspiration begins with you!
Perhaps it's a place you love, a memory you treasure, or a collection of meaningful little details you'd love to see brought to life in fabric.
My creative process is entirely intuitive. I don't sketch, plan compositions in advance, or follow predetermined designs. Instead, I allow the fabrics, colors, and unexpected discoveries along the way to guide each piece into existence.
Commissioning a collage means inviting me to interpret your story through my art, rather than recreating an exact image.
If you're interested in a custom piece, we'll begin with a conversation about your ideas, the elements that are most meaningful to you, and what you envision for the artwork. From there, I'll prepare a written Creative Brief outlining our shared understanding of the commission. We'll both review and approve it before I begin.
Once the creative process begins, the composition, fabric choices, colors, and artistic decisions are left to me, and revisions are not offered. This creative freedom is essential to preserving the spontaneity, originality, and little surprises that make my fabric worlds what they are.
A little note about pricing:
Custom collages require a significantly greater investment of my time than the original pieces I create independently. From our initial conversations to thoughtfully incorporating meaningful details into a cohesive composition, custom work involves an entirely different level of creative consideration. For this reason, commissions are priced at twice the cost of a comparable original artwork, with final pricing determined by size and complexity.
